Pool Table Accessories and selecting what theme or style you want for your room is important right from the start. If you have a plan you can have a well coordinated gameroom that will impress all your friends who share it with you

The pool table you choose should probably be the first consideration. You can find some information that is helpful in making that decision by checking our article Pool Table Room Size. Once you have selected the size and color of your table, and color of table felt, you can start selecting your accessories.

A short list of accessories you will need include:

  • The Pool Cues
  • A bridge Stick
  • A Ball Set
  • A Rack or Triangle
  • A Cue Rack or Cue holder for the Cues
  • A Table Light
  • A table brush and Cue Chalk
  • Furniture-Chairs or Stools
  • Cone Chalk and Chalk Holder
  • Wall Decorations

There are many other accessories you might consider but the list above is sufficient for most Pool Rooms. Other items you might consider are ball and table felt cleaners, scoreboards, tip and shaft care products and cue cases for the cues if you plan on using them elsewhere.

When selecting your cues consider whether you want them used only at your residence or if you or the kids want to take their cue to the neighbors house. For kids and juniors, having their own cue is a great way to share ownership in the gameroom and take more care and pride in that ownership.

When selecting a set of balls you should consider who will be using them. If it's the younger kids buying a premium set may not be your best choice. Things tend to get lost now and then and you might consider an economical set. If you want them to last a lifetime consider a good set from Aramith. They have been the leader in the industry for 75 years.

The remaining items on the list such as a triangle, chalk, table brush, bridge cue, cone chalk holder and furniture can be color coordinated to the rest of your gameroom. If you have kids that will be playing consider a heavy duty triangle. They tend to take a beating.

The wall decorations you use may just be part of the other decor in your home. If not there are some great choices of signs, lights posters and combination ball racks or scoreboards that are decorative and also functional.

With your gameroom furniture keep in mind that you do not want any obstructions in the way of your playing area. Spectater chairs are very nice pieces of furniture and are very large. Be sure to check the dimensions of your furniture. For areas near your pool table you may be better off selecting backless stools which can be near the playing area but are not high enough to be in the way of a cue when shooting pool.

Gameroom accessories are part of the look, feel and style of your gameroom design. Have fun with it and put your own personal touch and taste in to your gameroom.
