Inspection

Before you chalk your shaft, please check that your shaft is straight and free of dings. If you ordered a complete cue, check that it rolls straight when jointed together and that the butt has no dings or scratches and that it is the correct weight you ordered.

Shaft

The 314's spliced shaft needs no different care than a conventional shaft. We do not recommend sanding. Very fine micro papers or burnishing is about all you need. Do not expose the shaft to excessive moisture. Don't steam the shaft to remove dings, wet only the ding itself or the warranty will be void.

Ferrule

Do not try to replace the 314 ferrule or turn it down below 12.25mm; if you do, it will no longer be covered under warranty. The 314 ferrule is a polymer developed specifically for its' properties of stiffness and hardness. Much of the 314 shaft's performance can be attributed to our ferrule's design and composition. A very fine micro paper (1000 grit) will remove most scratches. Careful sanding is essential since the wood, being much softer, could be sanded to a smaller diameter than the ferrule.

Straightness

If you bend your shaft or let others bend it, you will not keep it straight. The 314 shaft is shipped with a straightness tolerance of + or - .005'. If your cue doesn't roll straight with our shaft on it, your butt pin may be bent or off center or your butt itself may be warped.

The Predator Warranty

Your Predator Cue and or 314 Shaft is warranted for life against any manufacturer defect that does not include warpage or abuse.

Billiards.com will honor a one-year warranty for all manufacturer defects. Claims after one year are subject to manufacturer approval.

Special note: Warping once a cue is chalked is not considered a defect.
