First of all, this cue is meant and designed for Carom (played on a pocket-less table) billiards games such as straight rail, balkline, 1-cushion and 3-cushion. If you are looking to buy a cue for pool (played on a pocketed table), this cue is not for you.
I really like this cue because:
1. Playability: This cue comes matching specs as a carom cue. It is shorter (55.5in - for firm solid hit) and lighter (18oz - for increased cue speed). Its shaft taper is constant (aka European taper). Its ferrule is also shorter than pool cues. Tip diameter is also 12mm for better English control and draw/follow. All results in very solid playability specialized for Carom billiards.
2. Build quality: Its maple butt comes with real (not printed) rosewood and color veneer 4-point french flame slice with mother-of-pearl accent inlays. Really high quality and simply beautiful to look at.
3. Value: It is only $97 and even comes with a soft case. If you want to buy a similar carom cue from the other major vendors such as Tiger, Longoni, Schuler and predator/molinari, you definitely need to spend $500 or more.
